Van Beek’s was founded in 1962, not out of a storefront but out of a school bus! George Van Beek filled a yellow bus with a special soil mixture that he had developed on his family’s local farm. George took “Van Beek’s Premium Original Mixed Soil” on the road, and its success with landscape professionals and gardeners in the Oakville area grew into a thriving family business. That same premium triple mix soil is still one of our most popular products today.
Since George hopped on his bus in 1962, Van Beek’s has always done things a little differently, and that’s the reason why we stand out.
