The Tradition-Prestonwood location was opened to residents in June, 2010. The Tradition-Lovers Lane is under construction next door to Central Market on East Lovers Lane.. Management and construction are administered in-house with personnel who have corporate-level experience in the senior living industry.

Tradition Senior Living is a Texas limited partnership engaged solely in the development and management of a growing number of senior living developments. The Tradition-Prestonwood opened in Dallas to residents in June, 2010, followed by its Assisted Living and Memory Care Community in 2015. The Tradition-Prestonwood “continuum” of Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care has been the model for all subsequent Tradition Senior Living Communities. Conveniently located in the Arapaho/Richardson corridor, the Community is near neighborhood shops, restaurants, medical centers, churches, shopping and other amenities.
The Tradition-Lovers Lane made its premier in 2015. Boasting a prime location near the Park Cities, Preston Hollow and East Dallas areas, the Community is next door to Central Market on East Lovers Lane.
The Tradition opened its first Houston Community, The Tradition-Buffalo Speedway, at 9339 Buffalo Speedway. Situated inside the loop (Interstate 610), this continuum of care is convenient to the Texas Medical Center, the Museum District, and entertainment venues such as the NRG Stadium.
Now open, The Tradition-Woodway is located at 6336 Woodway Drive, Houston. In the heart of the premier Tanglewood and Memorial areas and next to Second Baptist Church, this site is the fourth Community to open in Texas.

The Story Behind The Tradition
“Beauty” and “resort-style living” are used far too easily in describing senior living communities today. But at Tradition Senior Living Communities, those words hit the mark.
Here’s why.
After years of working in senior living across Texas, founder Jonathan Perlman decided that he wanted to develop a senior living community with a new vision. First, he determined that superlative service and care would be foundational. He chose the name “Tradition” to connote family heritage and classic design. When he asked a talented residential interior designer to create the interiors for the community, she protested that she had never designed anything on such a scale. He replied, “Do as you always do—make it feel beautiful and welcoming like a home—just a larger one!”
He then invited Dallas area seniors to participate in focus groups, and he acted upon their requests for: fine dining, a fitness center, a constant flow of fun social activities, and programs that foster mental and physical health.
Today, Tradition Senior Living provides a continuum of care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—in four different locations: Two in Dallas and two in Houston. Tradition Communities are warmed by antiques and filled with natural light in gorgeous common areas. Residents dine by firelight in a stately Dining Room. Gentlemen read their papers in plush sofas and chairs surrounded by Old World prints and paintings. Ladies play cards in an exquisitely feminine room. When residents retire, it’s to extraordinary private living areas detailed with crown molding.
It’s just like home, only better.
